Moss Varmeteknikk steam boiler manufacturer.
Founded in 1992, Moss Varmeteknikk was a direct continuation of the steam boiler manufacturing section of a former Kværner shipyard in the city of Moss. They had been manufacturing heat exchangers, oil and gas-fired steam boilers, as well as the steam generating parts of incinerators for municipal waste, for more than 30 years.

Since the start in 1992, the number of employees has increased from 20 to 35. Today, our main activity is all types of service on old and new steam generating plants and heat exchangers, both repair work and complete renewal. Additionally, we carry out a lot of advisory and consultancy work within the field of steam in general, steam generators and heat exchangers. Our customers are found mainly in the oil and gas industry, the process industry, municipal waste incinerating plants, Norwegian and foreign ship owners, and in the market for FPSO-conversions.

Milestones during the company lifetime:
  • Construction, manufacturing and erection of a 50 MW steam boiler for reclaiming energy from incineration of municipal waste. Plant delivered to BiR Bergen in 1999.
  • Moving to own offices and workshop at a newly developed industrial site just on the outskirts of the city of Moss, in 2007/2008.
